Ask me about it!

hi, i’m dan

I’ve been working in games industry marketing for over a decade. I was one of the core people behind Grads In Games, on the founding team for Game Dev Heroes, and have worked with hundreds of studios, organisations and individuals within games.

Now, I’m a freelance marketing consultant so that I can help share my experience and knowledge with others across the games industry, from basic ‘how to get started’ stuff for indies through to high-level B2B campaign management for established studios and support organisations.

Before games I worked in corporate marketing, though you’d never guess it. I like the more exploratory weirdo, outsider approaches to stuff, and try to reflect this in a lot of my own work.

Also! I do a lot of stuff outside games in audio, arts, events + tech and creative support in creative arts fields.

I rarely exist in photos. I’m not a vampire.

Dead Air is my thing

Years and years ago, I had a radio show called Dead Air. I liked the name (and the evocative phrase), which I’ve re-purposed a couple of times over the years as an umbrella for side-projects and other work I do.

And now it’s this.

It’s not an agency, just me, a helpful gremlin in the void.
